📜 How to use AI to read your rental contract

Use ChatGPT to help you understand terms in a contract or suggest how you can use clauses to improve your situation.

  • Login to ChatGPT.

  • Upload your rental agreement to the chat (remember to delete any sensitive data).

  • Use any of the following prompts:

prompt: How much is the security deposit + fees?
prompt: How much is the total contract over 1 year?
prompt: What are the exit clauses?
prompt: What clauses can i use for an early termination?

prompt: What clauses are different from a standard rental agreement that might have been included in this one?

prompt: Create me a downloadable budget spreadsheet for 12 months that includes rent cost, electricity, water, gas and extra costs in the contract.

  • Click “Add to Chrome” and install the extension

  • Open a Google Sheet and select the GPT Workspace extension

  • Grant the extension access

  • In the side chat window, use any of the following prompts:

- Create a pie chart for the Savings Goal in Column B

- Analyze the selected data in (insert cells)

- Make a table with the following data
