Stability AI releases SD3 Medium, its most advanced text-to-image GenAI model yet.

Stability AI has just unleashed its most advanced text-to-image AI model, Stable Diffusion 3 Medium, and it's amazing. Built on 2 billion parameters, the model focuses on 2 major paint points:

• Fixing common issues with hands and faces.

• Correctly rendering text without spelling errors or gibberish.

The Stability Diffusion 3 family has honed in on getting words right, thanks to its Diffusion Transformer Architecture, making SD3 Medium a standout in generating clear and coherent text.

What makes SD3 Medium even better is users can fine-tune the model with small datasets to tailor its outputs, perfect for projects needing quick turnarounds with limited image examples.

The the techies, SD3 Medium is optimised to run on personal computers with consumer or gaming GPUs, thanks to its smaller parameter size and reduced VRAM footprint. Stability AI teamed up with Nvidia and AMD to enhance performance, leveraging Nvidia RTX GPUs and TensorRT for a 50% performance boost and optimising inference on AMD's APUs and GPUs.
